Model RPF Precrimping Machine for Stents
A simple, air-actuated machine for quickly sizing balloon-expandable stents
Drop a balloon-expandable stent in the top, then touch the start bar.
A Blockwise Zero-G™-type, plastic-die radial compression mechanism compresses the stent to a set diameter, which is adjustable by turning a stop-screw. The compressed stent drops into a cup.
The RPF fast precrimper is most commonly to used prior to the final (attachment, high-force) crimping process to reduce the diameter of a balloon-expandable stent so that it is snug on the balloon, and won’t move during the final crimp.
If the crimping process requires a precrimping machine separate from the main crimping machine, the model RPF is a very efficient option.
