The Blockwise marker band swaging machines, models SGA and SGB are tabletop machines that swage radiopaque marker bands on a tube. A complete band attachment process typically comprises: positioning the bands, precrimping the bands into a triangular or hexagonal shape to prevent them moving on the tube, and swaging the bands – radially hammering them many times to reduce the diameter and make the bands round and smooth. Precrimping prevents the band moving along the tube during swaging.

Single Product Loading Marker Band Swagers

The industry’s most precise marker band swager. This band swager’s geometry-controlled (not force-controlled) process accomplishes a precise swaged diameter. Automated product feeding into the die ensures band swaging diameters are highly repeatable. This machine is an ideal solution for production environments.

Model SGA

Standard Force

Frequency Diameter Range
95 Hz 0.25 to 4mm

Model SGB

High Force

Frequency Diameter Range
55 Hz 0.25 to 4mm

Automated Loading Attachments for Band Swagers

The tray loader attachment dramatically reduces the time needed to load and unload products into the marker band swagers. The tray loader option greatly increases swager productivity.

SGA with Tray Loader

Standard Force

Frequency Diameter Range
95 Hz 0.25 to 4 mm

SGB with Tray Loader

High Force

Frequency Diameter Range
55 Hz .25 to 4mm

Simple Marker Band Swager

Using the same swaging dies as the SGA & SGB marker band swagers, products are fed by hand into the swaging die. These simple band swagers are a great low-cost option for low-volume swaging. They can also be upgraded to a band swager with touch-screen recipe control and automated product feeding.
