Models RCC, RCD, RCJ
The Blockwise type RC radial compression stations are simple, low-cost crimpers with no electronics, suitable for a wide variety of applications in medical device manufacturing, R&D labs, and catheter labs. Designed with low-cost fabrication as the primary goal, these are a bit less accurate and less powerful than the more expensive Blockwise mechanisms.
- Low Cost
- Variety of Actuation Types
- Simple, no Electronics
All type RC compression stations have 10 dies made from POM acetal copolymer. The design is type of Zero-G™ mechanism, with essentially zero die-to-die gap. RC compressions stations are commonly used to “size” balloon-expandable stents – to permanently reduce a stent’s diameter, for example to make it fit snugly over a balloon. These machines are not strong enough to do the high-force part of a stent crimping process – i.e. to attach stents to balloons.

Model RCD - Air Cylinder Mounted
Air actuated, customer supplies the compressed air controls. For example, pressure regulator, gauge, control valve, and speed-limiting orifices to control the compressed air. Simple closed-stop adjusting screw.
